2 GS in 1 game

I put this up on the special feats thread, but I don't know if anyone will see it there - Roberto Brown hit 2 GS in the span of 3 innings and finished the game w/ 9 RBIs. (and 4 runs scored going 3 for 5 w/ a walk)

BTW - can anyone explain why Cardell Fitzgerald is #3 in the MVP voting when he is not only NOT a starting All Star, but he's not even a reserve right now! I know players on the top-2 teams get a bonus, but both SF and I have guys w/ better numbers.

I believe he is getting the infamous RF bonus. Rightfielders (because you always put your best athlete in RF???) get a bonus. Also because he hasn't won an MVP yet, he'll get a bonus.

really? there's a RF bonus?? that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Why wouldn't a SS or a C or a CF get a bonus instead?

Yea it is. The new MVP formula has been made to duplicate as close as possible the real MLB MVP results. RF's get a big bonus. SS, 2B, and C do too but not as large. The problem with their formula is the sample size. Just because we've had a few superstar RF's in MLB win MVP's for various reasons doesn't mean they should get a bonus in the voting.

4 runs.
9 rbi.
4 hr's.

Oh I think the 4HRs and a triple tops the 2 GSs. That's an incredible game.
